Tonight I became a Beyonce fan! I had the opportunity to attend the NYC Screening of the new Beyonce " I Am" world tour DVD and the SVA Theater. This experience was great from beginning to end; from the complimentary Garrett's popcorn and drinks to Beyonce herself introducing the DVD.
DVD Highlights:
The DVD features highlights from various countries (over 100) where Beyonce performed for her "I AM" tour. During the DVD we hear ALL of Beyonce's major hits! See all of her hot moves and outfits and all of her Sasha Fierce-ness!! Aside from her stage footage, we also get to see some behind the scenes, personal footage. From show rehearsals, after concert blurbs, old-school home videos and some very personal video blogs. In these vlogs she makes some emotional references to missing her baby (Jay-Z) and also her acknowledging the fact that she is "living her dream." We get to see BEYONCE not SASHA FIERCE! NO make-up, no glam, no extras. . . just her, raw and uncut!
As far as the performances go, we get to see Beyonce leave her heart on the stage. From flying in a harness to surfing the crowd you'll be thoroughly entertained!! I particularly loved her crowd interaction and how she incorporated the phenomenon of her "Single Ladies" video w/ a montage filled with youtube clips of fans, celebs and even the PRESIDENT dancing to the song!
I can continue to go on and on but I don't want to give everything away! Just make sure you guys get this DVD!! In stores, Nov. 30th (DVD and CD) BUT you can get the DVD earlier from Walmart on Nov. 26th! It'll be the perfect Christmas gift for all Beyonce fans!!
