Must-See Movie: For Colored Girls (Trailer)

I am so excited about this movie!!

Yesterday, Tyler Perry released the trailer for his upcoming movie, For Colored Girls. The movie was inspired by the play "For Colored Girls Who Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Was Enough."

The movie is expected to be in theaters in November:

heck out the new fficial music video for "Magic" by B.o.B featuring Rivers Cuomo (of Weezer) off his debut album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, which is in stores now! I am feeling the song, but not this video! ;-(

That Hood Love: T.I & Tiny Arrested!

Wednesday night, newly weds T.I and Tiny were pulled over by Los Angeles police after making an illegal u-turn. Unfortunately for the two, they were smoking weed and the odor is what greeted the cop. In addition to this, they had what was recently confirmed to be extacy pills in the vehicle as well. The two posted bail. $10,000 each.

We all know that T.I just got done serving some jail time and is still on probation. Chances of him doing some SERIOUS time are very likely.

We'll see how this one plays out. . .

Fantasia's #1

The numbers are in and Fantasia's new album Back to Me is #1 on the Billboard's R&B Albums chart and #2 on Billboard's Hot 200!!  I know that the people over there at Sony are celebrating! The album sold over 117,000 copies since its release last Tuesday. This marks Fanny’s first #1 R&B album and her highest Billboard Top 200 chart.  To add to this, her single "Bittersweet" is also #1 on the R&B singles charts.

Go 'head girl! Who said ANY publicity isn't good publicity??

If you don't have the album as yet, I urge you to get it. It's dope! Here's a bit about some of my fave songs on the album:

* 'I'm Doin' Me' - This track was produced by Chuck Harmony and is definitely anthem of independence. In the song she mentions that "nothing is more beautiful than knowing your worth" which s the underlying theme behind this song. She basically saying that she'll rather be by herself than waist her time with a man that is going to play games. This song is set to be her next single. 

* 'Bittersweet' - This song is her current single, also produced by Chuck Harmony and its about not completely being over an ex. You know that you broke up for a good reason. . . you still think back on the relationship and wonder what if. We all have that one person we will always love.

* 'Collard Greens & Cornbread' - I absolutely love this song. It was produced by Pop and Oak and has a really old school feel to it. It is about being absolutely in love with someone, even more than your mamma's collard greens and cornbread! 

*'Teach Me' - This is my FAVE song on the album!! YES!! It is basically the female version of Musiq Soulchild's 'Teach Me" . . . "Teach me what you need cause i'm ready to learn. . ." Enough said. 

* 'Move On Me' - LOVE this one as well. Its about telling a guy that you like and have great chemistry with to hurry up and make that move. 

Again guys . . . If you don't have her album. . . get it. . . you won't be disappointed.
